Brodie

Name
Brodie

Age
2 years

About me

Lurcher Brodie was in the kennels for a very long time before he found a home. Sadly, that home has turned out to be unsuitable for him and he is now back in the rescue kennels and longing for the day when he will find someone who will love him. When Brodie first came into the rescue, he was very nervous, but over the time he was in he has improved a lot. He can, however, still be nervous in new situations, so he needs an owner who will help to build his confidence with lots of patience and love. Brodie likes other dogs, but he is not keen on cats. He is not used to small children, so any children in his new home should be older ones. Brodie has been fully vaccinated, neutered and micro-chipped and he is house-trained and has good recall when off the lead, although will need to be kept on lead for a while until he regains his confidence when in his new home. He is in the kennels in Devon.

About me

Beautiful blue greyhound Happy did go to a home after he was retired from racing, but it was found he is quite wary of men, so he has come into the rescue until he finds another home. He can live with men, but we think he would happiest where his main carer is a lady. Happy is good with medium and big dogs, but he needs a cat free home. He can go to a home where any children are aged 8 or over. He was born in December 2013. Happy is in the kennels in Dorset. RESERVED

Jackson

Jackson's Information

Name
Jackson
Sex
dog
Age
almost 2 years

About me

This beautiful collie is Jackson. He will be 2 years old in April. He has lived in a home with an elderly labrador since he was a puppy, but his owners are working full time and Jackson got bored and unhappy at being left for so long, so his owners made the difficult decision to sign him over to the rescue so that he can find a new home. Jackson is an intelligent and energetic dog, so he needs a home he will be given plenty of mental stimulation and will be taken for two long walks every day. He would enjoy and benefit from agility classes and flyball. He would also like being in a working home as that would give him the opportunity to use his intelligence and energy. Jacson is good with other dogs and would be happiest in a home where there is another dog for company for him. He has not met any cats, so we don't know how he would be with them. Jackson has not been around children. He can be a bit nervous of strangers, but is fine once he gets to know them. Jackson is in the kennels in Dorset.

Nina

Nina's Information

Name
Nina
Sex
bitch
Age
almost 2 years

About me

Pretty lurcher Nina has come into the rescue after having a difficult past. She has lived with another dog, but we think that she would be happiest in a home where she is the only dog. She does not like being left on her own, so needs someone who is around for most of the time. Nina is very good with cats indoors, so can live with one, but she is not good with them if she sees one when out on a walk. She has good recall. Nina has a lovely nature, but she can be a bit pushy when she wants her own way, so she needs a kind, patient and experienced owner who will firmly, but gently, make her understand that she can't always do what she wants to. She is very clean in the house and is good with horses, but not with sheep or chickens. Nina tends to get travel sick, so taking her for long drives in the car is not a good idea. She is in the kennels in Devon.
